About Us

Nigel McDonald MAHI founded NN-I in 2006 to offer specialist skills in interpretation, access and tourism for the heritage sector. He has 12 years experience planning, developing and producing innovative and accessible interpretive media. NN-I can provide these skills for a wide range of projects.

In addition Nigel has expertise in group consultation, partnership development and network building, developed among Shropshire's communities and elsewhere.

Nigel has an MA in Heritage Management from Ironbridge Institute, University of Birmingham where his thesis on objective setting in interpretation is now part of the students' course material. Nigel has been a visiting lecturer at Ironbridge for the last two years.

In 2005 he won an Interpret Britain Award for his work producing The Secret Hills Time Trails for Shropshire County Council.

Nigel is no stranger to project management having overseen projects funded by the European Union, Heritage Lottery Fund, Advantage West Midlands and national and local government. High quality, accessible interpretation is a fundamental aspect of his work.
